Miller County wishes to notify the public on what we, as a community, are doing to continue to
address the current COVID-19 situation. This event continues to be designated as a pandemic by
the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and an Arkansas Statewide Emergency is still in effect.Within Miller County, we have had 45 total positive cases, three of which are active. There have
been 41 recoveries with one death. The statistical information changes daily and it appears there
has been a 7% increase since the last week of May. Currently in Arkansas, there have been 7443
total COVID-19 cases with 1909 of those being active cases. There have been 5401 recoveries
and 133 deaths. This information was provided by the Arkansas Dept of Health.Miller County enjoyed a period of 15 consecutive days where no new cases evolved. With the
increase of cases over the last few days, the Miller County Judges Office and the Miller County
Office of Emergency Management want to remind the citizens of Miller County and the
metropolitan area, to avoid being complacent to COVID-19 in your day to day activities. Please
do not let the current events of our nation inhibit your ability to take the necessary precautions of
exposure by washing your hands and face regularly, staying at home to avoid exposure, wearing
a mask when you encounter the public while at work or outside the home and use hand sanitizer
and cleaning wipes capable of destroying contaminates of a corona or flu virus. If you feel sick,
stay at home and if you think you need to see a doctor, please call the physician for a phone
consult BEFORE going to the medical facility.Miller County has done very well at combating this pandemic, but now is not the time to fall
short or stop protecting yourselves and loved ones. We, as a community, must remain diligent to
