We do love “Chili Season”, most folks do even if they put beans in it. Here in Texarkana, we have what has been referred to as “the Big 3 cookoffs”… “Bridge City“, “Veterans Council” and this, “The Best Chili in Texarkana Cookoff” set for February 11 at The Sportsplex by Healthcare Express.

Fire up the stove, brown up the meat, and spice up the sauce! The Sportsplex by HealthCARE is hosting its third annual chili cook-off on February 11th from 4 pm – 6 pm. For $25 contestants can enter a four-quart pot of chili and compete for the $200 grand prize.
There will be three guest judges in attendance ready to sample each entry and award someone the title of “Best Chili in Texarkana”.
All proceeds of this event will benefit Hands on Texarkana.
The Best Chili in Texarkana Cookoff is on Saturday, February 11
The Texarkana Veterans Council cookoff is on Friday, February 17.
