UPDATE: 6/11/16 at 9:55 a.m. – Police have received information that Ms. Brown was on a train headed to Illinois. As a result, we no longer consider her missing and have discontinued the search.
Texarkana Texas Police are searching for a missing and believed endangered senior citizen and are looking to the community for assistance. Police have been searching overnight for Mabel Brown, 80, last seen at her home in the 9000 block of Holmes Lane last night at approximately 7:00 p.m..

The Texarkana Texas Police Department is requesting assistance locating a missing and endangered Texarkana woman.
Mabel Brown, 80, was last seen at her home in the 9000 block of Holmes Lane last night at approximately 7:00 p.m. She suffers from dementia and other health issues. Brown was last seen wearing a floral print blouse, tan pants, and black shoes. She was carrying a small backpack and had mentioned to her daughter that she wanted to return to Illinois. It is believed that she is on foot.
Officers have searched for Ms. Brown overnight without success and are very concerned for her safety.
Holmes Lane is located off of North Kings Highway and directly behind the Pleasant Grove Elementary School.
Anyone who knows Ms. Brown’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
