    Traffic Stop Leads to Marijuana Arrest in Miller County

    The Miller County Sherrif’s Department reports that Dalton Radney, 24, of Texarkana, Texas and Candice McElhiney, 25, of Texarkana, Texas have been arrested and booked into the Miller County Detention Center on charges of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

    On April 20, 2018 Miller County Deputies responded to a report of a white Nissan Altima driving recklessly on Highway 71 South in southern Miller County. Deputy Byron Bryant subsequently located the vehicle at approximately 9:45am pulled off onto the side of the highway. Deputy Bryant approached and identified the occupants of the vehicle as Dalton Radney, W/M 24 of Texarkana, Texas and Candice McElhiney, W/F 25 of Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Radney was found to be in possession of suspected Marihuana, and a subsequent search of the motor vehicle revealed two large glass jars with suspected Marihuana weighing approximately 4lbs. Also located in the vehicle was suspected Clonazepam pills and suspected Methamphetamine. Both subjects were arrested on charges of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were booked into the Miller County Detention Center.
