The Texarkana, Texas Farmers’ Market will host its 6th annual Biggest Tomato Contest, July 9th, from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. at the Texarkana, Texas Farmers’ Market, 305 Texas BLVD. Texarkana, Texas.
Local farmers, gardeners, food producers are all welcome to enter their biggest tomato into one of three categories; red, green, and heirloom. Registration begins at 7:30 with winners being announced at 9:00. Each categories’ winner will receive a prize courtesy of the Texarkana, Texas Farmers’ Market.
The Texarkana, Texas Farmers’ Market is an open-air market in historic downtown Texarkana that provides an avenue for local vendors to sale their products while promoting healthy, locally grown food.
