Area Middle School Bans Cellphones and Electronic Devices

Administrators in the Maud School District have determined that due to a drop in classroom productivity and multiple other issues the best course of action is to terminate the use of cellphones and other electronic devices during school hours.

A nifty touch to the new policy is that if a phone or device is confiscated from a student, parents can retrieve the device with a $15 fee. Money collected will go to a scholarship fund.
