Bowie County Family Health Center Continues to Offer COVID 19 Vaccinations

Yes, there is a wait to get the COVID 19 vaccine in Texarkana, so get on the list. Residents are urged to get on the waiting lists to receive the vaccine. The Bowie County Family Health Center will continue to offer the vaccine to eligible recipients regardless of residency.

    Press Release:

The Texarkana-Bowie County Family Health Center will continue taking names of individuals
who want to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine. Individuals can call (903) 255-5566 between 8am-5pm Monday through Friday to be added to a running list of people seeking a vaccination. The Health Center staff will continue to vaccinate the public based on qualifying factors of those on the waiting list as doses are received from the state.

Texas is currently in Phase 1B of the vaccination plan, which makes vaccinations available to individuals to people 65 and older, or 16 and older with at least one chronic medical condition that puts them at increased risk for severe illness from the virus that causes COVID-19.

Texarkana Arkansas will only offer the vaccine to Arkansas residents but residency is not a requirement in Texarkana Texas, but you do have to get on the list to get the vaccine. Both Texas and Arkansas are in phase 1B of vaccination distribution. That means right now preference is given to people 65 and older, or 16 and older with underlying conditions that put them at increased risk.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
