In the year 2020, the Star of Bethlehem will be visible for the first time in 800 years. The astronomical event is the alignment of Jupiter and Saturn and is believed to be what led the 3 Magi to the birthplace of Jesus Christ.
This event happens when Jupiter and Saturn align and from Earth, at a first glance, looks like one bright star.
The Star of Bethlehem will be visible from December 16 to 21 and can be seen from almost anywhere in the world, cloud cover permitting. This phenomenon can be seen for about an hour just after sunset.
Astronomers believe the next time this will occur will be March of 2080, and not again after that until the year 2,400.
