Celebrating 150 years the Texarkana Sesquintinial celebration is planned for April 14 & 15. This celebration will feature live entertainment, food vendors, and a lot more, including the excavation of a time capsule that was placed in 1973.
The event begins on Friday, April 14 with the unearthing and display of the contents of a Time Capsule set by city leaders in 1873.
On Saturday, April 15 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm you can inspect the items from the 1873 time capsule.
