Country music legend Dolly Parton will perform in Ashdown Arkansas this Saturday, September 30 at 9:00 pm with the “Wells Family and Friends Ashdown High School Reunion Jam” at Garrison’s Air Strip located between Ashdown and Wilton, Arkansas.
Free admission for the “Jam”, but parking is $10 per car.
The show will feature Dolly Parton performing some of her greatest hits with Country Powerhouse and Ashdown native Kent Wells. Wells is a world class musician, songwriter, performer and producer. The jam session is part of the celebration of Wells many contributions to Country Music. Wells has performed, toured and recorded with artists like Dolly, Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn, Keith Whitley, Travis Tritt, Keith Urban, and Willie Nelson. Also joining the jam session is Artemis Pyle, original drummer for Southern Rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd along with many performers, and a legend or two from Nashville, Tennessee.
The show is free, but there is a $10 fee for parking. Be sure to bring lawn chairs, (and mosquito spray.)
Garrison’s Air Strip is between Wilton and Ashdown Arkansas at 482 U.S. Highway 71. The stage will be set inside the large aircraft hangar. The Jam Session is scheduled for 9:00 pm.
(We would encourage you to be prepared for heavy traffic on 71 this weekend.)
