The Bowie County Sheriff’s office has released a statement regarding the death of Franklin Brooks Greathouse, 59 of Texarkana Texas. Greathouse was being held at the Bi-State Jail on a warrant out of Miller County.

    Press Release:

    Franklin Brooks Greathouse, 59

Around 7:09 pm on March 11, 2019 Deputy Michelle Carrier was dispatched to the Bi-State Jail to assist an ambulance with an inmate that was unresponsive. Once Deputy Carrier arrived at the jail, she was escorted to the cell of Franklin Greathouse where she observed him lying on the floor. Mr. Greathouse was found unresponsive by his cellmate who notified the jail staff of his condition. The jail staff conducted CPR on Mr. Greathouse until Life Net personnel arrived and took over. The measures taken to save Mr. Greathouse’s life were unsuccessful. Bowie County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Chad Ford and Texas Ranger Josh Mason were called to investigate Mr. Greathouse’s death. Judge Todd Fore ordered that Mr. Greathouse’s body be sent off for an autopsy. The results of this autopsy are pending. There was nothing found during the initial investigation of Mr. Greathouse’s death that would indicate his passing was anything other than natural. Mr. Greathouse was being held in the Bi-State Jail on a warrant out of Miller County.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
