As autumn settles in, residents of Texarkana eagerly anticipate the return of the Fall Movies in the Park series at Spring Lake Park. Organized by the Texarkana Texas Parks & Recreation Department, this beloved community event promises evenings filled with cinematic delights under the stars.

Scheduled to kick off on October 10th, the series boasts a diverse lineup that promises something for everyone. Moviegoers can look forward to classics and family favorites alike, starting with Inside Out 2 on October 10th, followed by the timeless adventure of E.T. on October 17th, and concluding with the spine-tingling thriller The Town That Dreaded Sundown on October 24th.

    October 10, 2024: Inside Out 2

All screenings begin at sundown, approximately 6:45 PM, at Spring Lake Park. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for seating comfort. Additionally, with the outdoor setting in mind, it’s wise to come prepared against insects.

    October 17, 2024: E.T.

Best of all, these movie nights are completely free of charge, thanks to the Texarkana Texas Parks & Recreation Department’s commitment to fostering community engagement and entertainment.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
