First Annual ‘Twin City Meat Up’ Happens on Saturday April 23

If you have grillin’ skills, this is the time to show up and show out at the “Twin City Meat Up” on Saturday, April 23 in downtown Texarkana. This event is open to individuals, teams, or restaurants. If you’ve got the best BBQ skills in town… PROVE IT!

Hosted by the Junior League of Texarkana, the Twin City Meat Up is a fantastic event for everybody in the family! Not only will this be a great BBQ Cook-Off but there is also a Mascot Race, Touch a Truck, Car & Bike Show, and more!

Now, this is an unsanctioned cookoff event, so the local restaurants shouldn’t be too scared to enter this one! Enter all of the categories, a few, or just one. To win the first annual ‘Twin City Meat Up’ would be HUGE! Plans are to make this the biggest annual bbq challenge for Texarkana cooks.

Please join the Junior League of Texarkana for the Inaugural Twin City Meat Up. Whether you’re coming to compete, shop, or eat, there will be something for everyone!

🍗 Do your ribs put barbecue restaurants to shame? Are you positive your homemade barbeque sauce is better than anyone could buy in a store? If you answered yes, now is your chance to claim the title as the best BBQ’r in the Twin City region!

🚒 We are excited to bring back Touch-A-Truck, which allows children to explore and interact with vehicles of all shapes and sizes.

🛍 Shopping will be also be available, along with an antique car show, and food trucks!
