Fuzzy’s Taco Shop on Texas Boulevard Closes After 15 Years

After more than 15 years serving Texarkana residents, the Fuzzy’s Taco Shop located at Texas Boulevard and Stateline Avenue has officially closed its doors.

In a post shared to Facebook, the owners thanked their loyal customers for years of support, writing:

“To our amazing Fuzzy’s Taco Shop customers, we have enjoyed all of your support for over 15 years in the great town of Texarkana! Our time has come to an end. We truly appreciate your loyalty throughout the years as it’s been a pleasure serving you.
    Much love,
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop owners and staff.”

Efforts to contact the restaurant by phone were unsuccessful, as calls went unanswered following the announcement.

However, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop in Nash, Texas confirmed that their location is under separate ownership and will remain open. Staff there said they have no plans to close and continue to operate under regular business hours — 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.

The Texarkana location on Texas Boulevard had long been a popular spot for tacos, margaritas, and casual gatherings, and its closure marks the end of an era for many local fans of the franchise.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
