Get Ready for Polar Plunge 2019 to Benefit Special Olympics

There’s not a lot of people that would consider jumping into a pool filled with icy cold water a good thing, but it is a WONDERFUL thing when it benefits Special Olympics. Texarkana’s “Polar Plunge” will be happening at The Sportsplex by Healthcare Express.

The Plex is hosting this year’s Polar Plunge benefit on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 11:00 a.m at their gym located at 5610 Richmond Rd., Texarkana, TX and is looking for volunteers.

Registration for this event begins at 10:00 a.m. The registration form is available at specialolympicsarkansas.org, or you can grab one at the front desk at The Sportsplex.

The Polar Plunge is a fundraiser for Special Olympics Arkansas, helping athletically train children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Taking the plunge isn’t the only way you can help out. You can also make a donation. Go to firstgiving.com/soar/texarkana-plunge-2019 to donate to the cause.

If you would like more information on this topic, please contact Angela Evans at 903-791-9355 ext. 1037 or email her at angela.evans@healthcareexpress.us.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
