It is going to be another pretty weekend in Texarkana, and again there is always something fun to do. We run down a few of the local events happening this weekend and live music around town.
First up, set your clocks back one hour before going to sleep on Saturday night. Fall back one hour for the whole daylight savings thing. (2 am on November 7).
Saturday, November 5 is the Candy Cane Corral shopping event at the Four States Fairgrounds.
The annual Springbank Turkey Shoot happens Saturday at the Doddridge Community Park with prizes for the best shots, a bake sale, and BBQ plates for sale.
“A Ragtime Celebration” will happen on Saturday at the Scott Joplin Mural at 301 Main Street in downtown Texarkana at 12 noon. The Texarkana Museums System music committee presents pianist Scott Kirby performing the works of Scott Joplin. Food trucks are scheduled to be there. This is a free event but bring your own chairs.
