Rail enthusiasts are in for a treat as the historic Big Boy No. 4014 steam locomotive makes its way to Texarkana as part of its “Heartland of America Tour.” Big Boy 4014 is scheduled to arrive in Texarkana on Monday, September 16 and will stay overnight.
The tour kicks off on Wednesday, August 28, from Cheyenne, Wyoming, and will take the iconic train through nine states, including Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas, over the next eight weeks.
The Big Boy 4014 will arrive at Union Station in Texarkana, Arkansas, in the late afternoon on Monday, September 16, giving locals a chance to see this mechanical marvel up close. The locomotive will stay overnight before departing for Dallas at 9 AM on Tuesday, September 17.
