Get ready for a night of foot-stomping country music as the renowned Josh Abbott Band (JAB) gears up to hit the stage at Crossties Event Venue on Broad Street. The much-anticipated show is set to take place on Friday, July 26th, starting at 8:00 pm.

Hudson Westbrook, an up-and-coming talent, will kick off the evening with an opening performance sure to get the crowd warmed up for the main event.

JAB quickly made waves in the music scene, formed in early 2006 by fraternity brothers Josh Abbott, Austin Davis, Drew Hurt, and Neel Huey. What started as acoustic open mic nights at The Blue Light soon transformed into a full-fledged band with a rhythm section courtesy of Drew and Neel.

The band’s debut at The Blue Light was a resounding success, packing the house and leaving audiences with a sense of something special in the air. Their self-titled LP, released in 2007, featured four tracks that captivated listeners and garnered attention far beyond their local scene.

One of their standout tracks, “Buried Me,” caught the eye of many when its music video, shot live, made it to the final cut of the Music City Madness competition on CMT.com, triumphing over 600 other entries.

Since then, JAB’s popularity has skyrocketed, particularly in Lubbock and on the Tech campus. Their energetic performances and infectious music have earned them invites to prestigious events like the Zieg-Fest after-party at Lake Bryan, where they shared the stage with Texas country heavyweights like Eli Young Band, Roger Creager, and Rich O’Toole.

The band’s impressive roster of collaborators speaks volumes about their standing in the industry, having shared stages with luminaries such as Pat Green, Randy Rogers Band, Wade Bowen, and many more.

As anticipation builds for their upcoming performance in Texarkana, fans can expect a night filled with electrifying music and unforgettable moments as the Josh Abbott Band brings their signature sound to Crossties Event Venue.

Tickets for the event are available now, and enthusiasts are encouraged to secure their spot for what promises to be a memorable night of live music. GET TICKETS HERE!

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
