Lisa Garner Named Executive Director of Four States Fairgrounds

Lisa Garner, long-time Four States Fair & Rodeo’s “go-to person” has been officially named the new Executive Director of the Four States Fairgrounds. Ms. Lisa has been out there since 1998 and credits former directors and family for her knowledge and experience.

Fairs, Ag-Events, Concerts, and various other events, Lisa Garner has been tending to it all for almost 24 years. She began working for the Four States Fair & Rodeo Association back in 1998, but really she has been a part of it all of her life. Lisa’s grandmother Ms. Betty Nix was out at the fairgrounds for, well this last fair was her 50th Four States Fair. Lisa tells us Ms. Betty still has a hand in it and credits longtime director Dwight Duncan for a lot of her experience.

Ms. Lisa has always been quick to take responsibility for and correct any situation at the fairgrounds. She and her team are currently working on beautification projects, and planning events.

Let all local vendors know that on November 6, 2021, the fairgrounds will be having a holiday bizarre type event really focusing on our local vendors. Booths are only $50. To get registered for the event, or more information, call the Fairgrounds box office at 870.773.2941.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
