This is going to be a growing list, to add to it email texarkanafyi@gmail.com, but so far we have a heck of a list of Fall Festivals and Events, and a good list of Halloween activities as well.
One thing that stands out to us for 2022 is that folks are going back to the park and walk format at their events over the drive-thru people had been doing the past couple of years from the pandemic.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 20:
Spring Lake Park Fall Festival & Movies in the Park begins at 5:00 pm. Hayrides, Pumpkin Painting, fun, games, and lots of candy. The event is capped off with a showing of the movie “Hocus Pocus” at 7:00 pm.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26:
Fall-O-Ween Jesus Kids Event, from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm at 3115 Trinity Boulevard. Games, contests, and I am really hoping for some old-fashioned apple bobbing.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28:
Healthcare Express Trunk of Treats at all three Texarkana Clinics beginning at 6:00 pm
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29:
The Crossties Downtown Fall Carnival & Festival starts at 1:00 pm, this is THE event! The Carnival rides and food vendors will be behind Crossties along Front Street. That block of Broadstreet will be blocked off for food trucks, and dozens of vendors.
SPOOKFEST at The Plex, 5610 Richmond Road. From 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, it is trick-or-treating, fun and games, but from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm a very scary Haunted House. (Parental discretion advised)
Trunk-or-Treat at Spring Lake Park, 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm all of the City Departments, Police, Fire, Water, and dozens of local businesses gather with bushels and bushels of candy and treats for the kids. For 2022 it will not be a drive-thru, so make plans to park and walk among the different booths.
Kiwanis Club Trunk or Treat at 321 W. 4th Street will be set up looking for kids in costume to stock up on even more candy from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Atwoods in Nash, Pet Costume Contest from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and for the two-legged kids there will be trunk or treating from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Trunk or Treat at Hampton Church of Christ, 6262 St. Michael Drive from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 3O:
Trunk-or-Treat at Trinity Baptist Church, 3115 Trinity Boulevard beginning at 6:00 pm with lots of candy, games, treats, food, and more.
We Are Washington Fall Festival at the Washington Community Development Center, beginning at 3:00 pm. Food, Fun, Games, bounce houses, and more.
Trunk or Treat at Cornerstone Baptist Church on McKnight Road from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 31:
Trunk or Treat & Haunted Trail at Texas A&M-Texarkana, 7101 University Drive from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Halloween is Monday, October 31 and there will be little trick-or-treaters out and about. We beg you to pay extra attention as you are out driving. Parents, we hope you don’t just turn them loose, and will be out supervising.
