Friday evening, January 24, it’s the annual Bridge City Chili Cookoff in downtown Texarkana. This is one of the area’s favorite Chili events and for good reason. Lots of great chilis, music, and fun. This year it will be located at 319 Pine Street near the intersection of 4th Street in Texarkana, Texas. Festivities begin at 5:00 pm. More details at TexarkanaFYI.com.
Friday night, Hype & Glory Wrestling presents its first event of the year. Located at the Texarkana Arkansas Parks & Recreation Center, #1 Legion Drive in Texarkana, Arkansas.
Saturday morning at 9:00 am it’s a special trout derby at Lake Dieffenbacher inside Bobby Ferguson Park. Hosted by the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission, Texarkana Parks & Recreation Department, and NVST TXK. There will be some special “Golden Trout” in the water to be caught for some really great prizes… more details are at TexarkanaFYI.com.
