The weather will be great in Texarkana this weekend, so get out and have some fun. Thanks to our community partners at Tony Langford Roofing and Whiskey River Country Club we have your rundown of the best live entertainment in town for the weekend of March 14 & 15.
For us, one of the biggest events of the year, and our favorite, takes place on Saturday, March 15, at the Four States Fairgrounds, the 7th Annual Wagons for Vets event to benefit our local Veterans. More than 20 Chuckwagons will be set up and cooking old fashioned style and it is awesome! You will be amazed at the dishes they turn out, had some of the best Pineapple Upside Down Cake ever from one of those wagons, and it was out of a cast iron Dutch Oven cooked over an open campfire. The grounds open at 10:00 am, and food serving begins at 11:30 am. The annual Car Show will be happening, live music, bounce houses, and a lot more. For more information, visit TexarkanaFYI.com.
The 57th Annual Jonquil Festival also takes place this weekend just up the road at Old Washington State Park. Spring will be in full swing as the Annual Jonquil Festival returns to the Historic Washington State Park on March 14 and 15, 2025. This beloved tradition, known for its vibrant blooms and historic charm, promises a packed schedule of entertainment, crafts, food, and family-friendly activities.
