We love our local talent and they will be showing off all over town this Friday and Saturday. We want to rundown where you can find your favorite live music. There are also some really special events taking place this Saturday we want to share.

Starting off with Live Music…

Friday, October 22
Alex & Liv at Twisted Fork
Karaoke at The Arrow Bar
Heather Linn & Jase Bryant at Redbone Magic
Roots & Branches at 67 Landing
Ethan “Lil’ Skinny” Kuntz at Fat Jack’s
Black Strap at La Fogata’s

Saturday, October 23
Jawbone & Lane Bricker at Crossties to ROCK OUT CANCER
Vegas Stars at Whiskey River
The Shelton Band at 67 Landing
Trey Johnson at Fat Jack’s
Heather Linn at Hopkin’s Icehouse
Trophy Husband at Redbone Magic
Cody Moss at La Fogata’s

Some fantastic events are planned for this Saturday, October 23… Starting Saturday morning at Rocky Creek Outdoors, 4001, S. Stateline, it’s the first “Freezer Buck Challenge” hosted by Garrett’s Sporting Goods. Bring your deer rifle, (must be legal to hunt deer in both Texas and Arkansas), and your ammo. You get 20 targets. Your simulated deer targets will range from 50 to 300 yards. The prizes include some top-of-the-line firearms, hunting gear, gift certificates, and a lot more.

The Universal Vibes Music, Arts & Wellness Festival begins at noon on Front Street Plaza with dozens of vendors, two stages with live music, yoga workshops, and at 6:30 pm they are throwing a “Giant Bubble Party” for kids. At 7:45 pm you will be completely amazed by Phantom Flow Fire Arts demonstrations. This is such a great opportunity to learn about different cultures and see that we all have a lot more in common than we differ.

The Hideout, Texarkana’s newest and only rooftop bar, located at 311 E. Broad will celebrate its grand opening by opening the doors to the public for the first time on Saturday, October 23 at 4:00 pm for Peak Fighting PF:16. The undercard begins at 5:00 pm sharp, and it is a full night of professional MMA action. Not real sure about tickets being a smaller venue than usual, but Pay-per-view is available at peakfighting.com and everybody is encouraged to subscribe at home or to share with their patrons.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this Saturday is the 3rd Annual ROCK OUT CANCER Concert with the Friends for a Cause Foundation. Excited to have Jawbone as the headliner and Lane Bricker to perform for a night full of fun and excitement at Crossties in downtown Texarkana.
