Is a great weekend for some live entertainment in Texarkana and of course some tax-free back-to-school shopping in Texas and Arkansas. Thanks to Crossties in downtown Texarkana, and Hobbs Manufactured Homes we have your weekend rundown here.

Thursday, August 4 at Fat Jack’s on Stateline Avenue there is a benefit for Penny Tyrone. Penny suffered a terrible motorcycle crash and needs our support. She has always been there to support so many charities and causes in our area, putting her hands to the plow for so many folks, this is a great opportunity to help one of our community’s biggest cheerleaders.

    LIVE MUSIC

    Friday, August 5:
Dusty Rose Band at Whiskey River Country
Lane Bricker at Redbone Magic Brewing
    Trophy Husband at Fat Jack’s
Danny Maxey & Gang at Twisted Fork

    Saturday, August 6:
Lee Mathis at Redbone Magic Brewing
    Trey Johnson at Fat Jack’s
    PHED at The Banana Club
Heather Linn & the Deacons at The Hideout
Alex & Liv at The Railyard
    Shelton Band at 67 Landing

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
