Should Miller County Renovate or Build a New County Courthouse [POLL]

0

Some Miller County Officials have hopes of building a new county courthouse on property near the Miller County Detention Center on 71. While others believe that the current courthouse in downtown Texarkana should be renovated.

The way it was reported to us is that officials will appoint a committee to determine the direction that the county should go in relation to a county courthouse. Current County Judge Ralph Burgess, JP Earnest Pender, and incoming County Judge Roy John McNatt. All support naming a committee to study the prospects of building a new facility near the current jail or renovating the current courthouse in downtown Texarkana that was built in 1939.

So, we wanted to do this “unofficial” poll to get an idea of how citizens feel about it.
