The family of Harry Parker, 74, of Texarkana, Texas report that their father has been found safe at a hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Mr. Parker had left his home Sunday morning to go to the riverboats in Shreveport and Bossier and never returned home.
The family reported Mr. Parker missing and TTPD issued a statement asking for assistance in locating Mr. Parker as a welfare concern, as he had left on the trip on his own, and had not been gone long enough to issue a “Silver Alert”.
Joey Parker was notified by the St. James Parrish Sheriff’s Department that a man they believed to be his father was involved in an accident and was taken to a hospital in Baton Rouge, but that the man had wandered away. Joey took off to Baton Rouge last night to look for his father and while on the way there, the St. James Sheriff’s department called to let them know that they had found Harry Parker walking along the highway and had again taken him to a hospital in Baton Rouge. We spoke to Joey after he picked up his father and he told us,
I just want to thank everybody that was helping to find my dad. So many people shared and called and were looking I just can’t thank them all enough. God bless them. I have him with me now, and dealing with the wrecked pick-up down here in Louisiana but will be heading home as soon as we can.
