A mobile home and boat trailer slid down the boat ramp at First Old River Lake this afternoon, prompting a swift response from local emergency teams. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Miller County OEM and the Miller County Dive Team responded quickly to the scene after receiving the call. Thanks to coordinated efforts and the assistance of Red River Wrecker Service, the vehicle and trailer were successfully recovered from the water.
“We’re extremely grateful that no one was hurt,” said a spokesperson from the OEM. “This was a great example of teamwork and fast action across multiple agencies.”
Authorities have not released details on what caused the slide, but they continue to remind the public to use caution when maneuvering vehicles near boat ramps and other waterfront access points.
The Miller County OEM thanked all involved agencies and responders for their professionalism and quick coordination.
