In the early days of Texarkana and through the years, the muddy streets and dark alleys were tough, rough, and cruel. There was lots of gambling, drinking, prostitution, and of course murder. Here is a chance to learn more about the history of some of the events that made this city such a notorious place long ago.

This Saturday, July 25, the Texarkana Museums System will be hosting a walking tour of some of the most infamous sites in downtown Texarkana on Saturday, July 25 from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm starting at the P.J. Ahern Home located at 403 Laurel Street.

Facemasks are encouraged, and social distancing will be maintained.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
