The 5th Annual gathering of local veterans to recognize National Vietnam Veterans Day on March 29 is planned at the Korea-Vietnam Memorial at 6:00 pm, until (?). This is a wonderful opportunity for our surviving veterans to gather with their brothers and sisters in arms.

    Media Release:

On Saturday, March 29, 2022, the Texarkana Area Chapter # 278 of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc. will host “National Vietnam War Veterans Day” to recognize and honor all of those who served in the military during the Vietnam War. It will be held at the Korea/Vietnam Memorial at 7th Street and State Line Avenue from 6:00 pm until ??? pm. The main service will be held at 6:00 pm. The rest of the time will be for socializing with brother and sister veterans! We encourage all Vietnam era veterans to come down and honor each other. Together Then – Together Now!!! This event is in conjunction with the 50th Commemoration of the Vietnam War. March 29 was selected because on March 29 the last U.S. combat troops left Vietnam in 1973 and the last prisoners of war held in North Vietnam arrived on American soil.

WELCOME HOME VIETNAM VETERANS!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
