Get ready for the biggest celebration yet as New Boston gears up for Pioneer Days 2024, set to unfold over nine thrilling days from August 10 to August 17. Located at the Pavilion and Midway in New Boston, Texas, this year’s event promises a spectacular lineup of activities for all ages.
Kicking off the festivities is the eagerly anticipated Pioneer Days Rodeo, hosted by the New Boston Round Up Club. Scheduled for August 9 and 10 at 8:00 pm each evening, the rodeo will showcase thrilling competitions that highlight the spirit of the Old West.
On Saturday, August 10, gearheads won’t want to miss the Pioneer Days Car Show at T&P Trailhead Park, promising an impressive display of classic and custom vehicles.
Throughout the week, the event will feature a diverse range of entertainment. Highlights include TJ McAlexander’s Street Dance following the rodeo on August 10, a soulful gospel show on August 11, and lively karaoke with Fabienne on August 12. Rhythm and blues enthusiasts can groove to great music on August 13, followed by an exciting cornhole tournament on August 14.
Elvis fans are in for a treat on August 15, with Jake Williams & Trilogy paying tribute to the King himself. The excitement peaks on August 16 with country recording artist Jerrod Niemann taking the stage at 8:30 pm, followed by a grand finale on August 17 featuring country stars The Kentucky Headhunters.
A highlight of Pioneer Days is the 53rd Annual Parade on August 17, starting at 10 am (organizing at 9 am at Tapp Park). This year, the parade honors the 1984 New Boston Basketball State Champs, promising a nostalgic and celebratory atmosphere for all attendees.
The event also offers a variety of attractions including a carnival, arts and crafts vendors, a food court with delicious fare, and plenty of new surprises to keep visitors entertained throughout the nine-day extravaganza.
