Construction has begun at the Nash exit from Interstate 30 on a new mega-store convenience center that will offer multiple choices to diners with brands like Golden Chick, Dunkin Donuts, Texas Best Smokehouse and Steak ‘n Shake.
The dirt work has begun on the 6-acre tract on the corner of Interstate 30 and North Kings Highway. The project is a partnership between the Victron Group and Rita Morgan, owner of the Texarkana Steak ‘n Shake restaurant and other restaurants including multiple Denny’s locations.
The plan is for a large convenience center with 16 fuel pumps, with a fuel brand from Victron along with founder Ali Sharif’s own brand “Texas Best Smokehouse” which along with BBQ has a wide variety of products including jams, nuts, cheeses, wine, and they are Texas famous for their signature Texas Best Smokehouse Jerky. Other restaurants planned for the store an adjacent property include a Dunkin Donuts, a Golden Chick, and a Steak ‘n Shake.
When asking Ms. Morgan when she expected construction to be completed and which brands would be involved she told us,
We are just getting started with the construction and expect to be done quickly. We hope to be open for business and making money by March of 2017. We are pretty set on Dunkin Donuts, another Steak n Shake, Texas Best Smokehouse BBQ and Golden Chick.
Morgan is the owner and operator of the Steak ‘n Shake Texarkana Store. She told us that this will be her first franchise stores with Dunkin Donuts and Golden Chick.
