Construction is set to begin on the new Newk’s Eatery in Texarkana. The restaurant will be located on the corner of S. Cowhorn Creek and Mall Drive, at 3001 Mall Drive and owners plan to be open for business by December 1, 2018.

Newk’s Eatery is quickly becoming a favorite in the Arklatex with locations in Longview, Tyler and the Shreveport/Bossier area. With a little luck, the Texarkana location will be opening in December.

Newk’s has a diverse menu that delivers fresh-tossed salads, artisan pizzas, specialty toasted sandwiches, kettle batch soups, and desserts. Newk’s has something for everyone to enjoy. Take a look at their Menu from the website.

We spoke to our friend Daphne Cox about the new restaurant and she told us,

Newks is a fast casual café specializing in gourmet sandwiches, soups, salads, and pizza. We have fresh ingredients in the store daily and all products are made from scratch. You’ll find an open kitchen and large round tables with complimentary gourmet condiments. The Mike Cox and Mark Townsend families are lifetime residents and businesses owners in Texarkana. Along with our business partner Sam Markezich, we are truly excited to bring this concept to Texarkana and look forward to serving our community.

The team that founded McAlister’s Deli, Chris Newcomb, Don Newcomb, and Debra Bryson are the folks that have founded Newk’s Eatery from treasured Newcomb family recipes.

From the Newk’s Facebook Page:

At Newk’s Eatery, we’re passionate about delivering flavorful food experiences to our customers. Relentlessly uncompromising when it comes to quality and service, we are rigorous in the selection of fresh ingredients, meticulous in the handcrafting of meals in our open kitchen, and committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone belongs.
