The Texarkana community is rallying together once again for the 6th Annual “Wagons for Veterans” fundraiser, slated to take place on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Four States Fairgrounds. Organized by the Vietnam Veterans of America, Texarkana Area Chapter #278, this event aims to raise funds to support local disabled and needy veterans from all eras, along with their families.
Country music aficionados are in for a treat as Wyatt Putman, the proud son of Arkansas, gears up for a night of musical revelry at the Whiskey River Country Club on Saturday, March 2. Putman, whose musical journey has been shaped by the iconic voices of Outlaw Country, is set to release his highly anticipated album, “My Kinda Country,” in an evening that promises raw energy and heartfelt melodies.
A significant transformation has taken place at Arkansas’ renowned Crater of Diamonds State Park, where a major excavation project has unearthed new opportunities for diamond enthusiasts. In the fall of 2023, the state park embarked on a substantial investment to enhance the diamond search experience, utilizing heavy equipment to excavate a large portion of the park’s diamond search field.
The excitement is palpable as the Texarkana community prepares to indulge in the delicious tradition of the 66th annual Kiwanis Pancake Day fundraiser. Organized by the local Kiwanis Club, this event promises a delectable breakfast spread while supporting worthy causes within the community.

The Texarkana community was met with a mix of surprise and sadness as The Sportsplex announced its imminent closure, with doors set to shut on Friday, February 23rd. In a statement released by the management, they expressed both gratitude for the years of support and optimism for the future of the campus under new ownership.
