President Orders Flags Flown at Half-mast for COVID 19 Victims

President Trump has ordered United States Flags on Federal Buildings, Military Bases, Embassies, and National Monuments in recognition of the many victims that have died from causes related to COVID 19.

Flags are to be lowered at Sunset Friday through Sunset Sunday.

Trump took to Twitter to post

I will be lowering the flags on all Federal Buildings and National Monuments to half-staff over the next three days in memory of the Americans we have lost to the CoronaVirus….

In a proclamation for the observation, Trump said,

Our Nation mourns for every life lost to the coronavirus pandemic, and we share in the suffering of all those who endured pain and illness from the outbreak. Through our grief, America stands steadfast and united against the invisible enemy. May God be with the victims of this pandemic and bring aid and comfort to their families and friends.”

Congressional leaders sent a letter to President Trump requesting the gesture.

Flags will be flown at half-mast again on Monday in observance of Memorial Day mourning the loss of the men and women that have given their lives serving the United States of America.

There is so much more to the Flag Code. We were looking at Title 4 of the US Code, check it out for everything you will ever need to argue on Facebook.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
