Cody Hibbard has been grinding the Red Dirt Circuit for years and is seeing the fruits of his labor, being in the process of making the move to Nashville, Tennessee with some new label development deals in the works. He makes a return to Whiskey River Country in Texarkana on Saturday, October 22… DON’T MISS IT!

Whiskey River Country is famous for getting these great talents before they blow up. Artists like Luke Bryan, Whiskey Myers, Turnpike Troubadors, Tyler Farr, Koe Wetzel, and others. There is very little doubt that when Cody’s new project breaks he will enjoy the same successes.

Hibbard grew up in Adair, Oklahoma working on the family farm. He took to playing the piano at age 4 and music has always been a part of his life. Cody attended the Naval Academy but serious injuries led him in a different direction. Pipelining. While working the camps he would break out the guitar and entertain the other workers and friends. Once, on a whim while out with friends a server made a very common comment to him, “you don’t sound how you look.”  One friend would reply, “you think that’s weird, you ought to hear him sing.”  Next thing you know, a guitar got broken out, and Cody was asked to come back and start singing bar gigs.

That was in 2019, he put a hot little band together and as they began to make a name for themselves, along came a pandemic. Even with a global freakout, Cody Hibbard has continued to make impressions with his fun, high-energy shows. His original music has led to a deal that we aren’t allowed to share too much about at the time of this posting, but knowing that we will get a chance to see him at Whiskey River Country on October 22 is super exciting. Here is the link to the Facebook Event Page.

From CodyHibbard.com:

He found a deep love for writing music soon after and recorded his first single, Half Whiskey, Half Lonely at Rosewood Studios, which dropped September 2019.

Cody would release his first EP, Memory and a Dirt Road in January of 2020 which has garnished millions of streams followed by his hit singles Ice Cold TherapyArmed and Dangerous, and The Truth in the summer of 2020.  In October 2021, Cody would drop his self-titled EP which has helped him put together a strenuous touring schedule.

Starting a music career is not easy and it sure isn’t easy to start one during a pandemic, but Cody and his team have been able to put out the music they want to put out, the way they want to, and find success doing so.  At the end of the day, Cody just wants to continue to run and prove that dreams are fueled by hard work and drive.

Special guests, Hayefield will open the show on Saturday, October 22, at 9:00 pm…
