Saturday Night Dirt Track Racing at Texarkana’s Hometown Track

0

Since long before I have been alive, Dirt Track Racing has been huge in our area. As I kid I remember going out to the Speedbowl, and Stateline Speedway, and now for Saturday night dirt track racing, it is Texarkana 67 Speedway.

It’s been a rough season so far for the folks at Texarkana 67 Speedway with weather washing out the last month of Saturdays, but the forecast for Saturday, May 27 looks like it will be a great night of high-octane mud slinging on Texarkana’s fastest track. Gates will open at 5:00 pm and racing begins at 7:30 pm for a Memorial Day Weekend Blowout!

The folks at 67 Speedway are so excited to finally get back to racing that they have big plans for the night of the 27th. There will be fun and games for the kids, and bounce houses. There will also be a lot of “Fidget Spinners” to giveaway at random during the races from sponsor Phone Pros.

A really big deal for the kids on Saturday May 27, the speedway will host a Bicycle Race. Morrison Supply Company on 7th Street will have a BOYS and GIRLS bike that will be given away before the bike races start. All you got to do is sign them up when you get there. We will try to have a table or a spot for you to sign up.

There will also be an “Adult” Bicycle race… FOR $100 CASH! One lap around the track. First one back gets $100. NO RACE CAR DRIVERS. This is for the FANS only. Thanks to Pate’s Automotive and KP Motorsports.

The Monster Truck “Punisher” will be at the track for monster truck rides. Rides are $10. JDS Racing Solutions, will have 5 FREE rides to give away to 5 lucky fans. This will be drawn from the general admission tickets.

Saturday night racing at 67 Speedway will feature the junior class, 4 cylinder class, 305 class, factory stock, limited modified, and super stock classes and will be seeing increased payouts thanks to sponsorship from Griffith Sand Company LLC.

Admission is $10 for adults, Seniors (62+) & Military $8, Children (6-12) $5, Children (5 & Under) FREE and a Pit Pass is $30. Coolers are allowed with a $10 dollar cooler charge.

Texarkana is such a unique region in the fact that we have two dirt tracks that we call local. Timberline Speedway in Corley Texas races on Friday nights, meaning that race fans can get their fill on Friday and Saturday nights just up the road, one direction or the other.
