Time for “Cruise Night”, the annual community event in Atlanta Texas that brings automophiles from all over. Cruise night on Friday June 10 has almost become an official kick-off to summer of sorts and this year the event becomes known as the “Steven Smith Memorial Cruise Night”.
Steven Smith was loved by all in the community and was lost earlier this year in a tragic accident at Thunder Road Speedway. Smith was known and loved by many, not just in his hometown of Atlanta, but in the racing community across the country.
Cruise Nite is a downtown event that serves the Atlanta community as a Summer Kick-Off celebration each year! The evening’s events include a Classic Car Cruise In, Homemade Ice Cream Contest (Individual & Commercial Divisions) and Music in the downtown streets. This year, we will even host a Kids’ Cardboard Car Cruise! In honor of our late friend and as tribute to his love for the Cruise Nite event and this whole community, our Annual Cruise Nite will now be known as the Steven Smith Memorial Cruise Nite.
