Officials with the Texarkana Independent School District have released a statement regarding perceived threats against the school that was scrawled in a campus bathroom and on a desk. Officials believe it to be a prank, but are investigating the threats and will release information regarding their findings this evening.

Texarkana ISD and Texas High School are aware of the threat posed against the school, students and staff based upon writings found in the bathroom and on a desk. We are currently investigating the situation and interviewing students who possibly have an association with this threat. Although it is believed to be a prank, student safety is of the utmost importance. As our investigation continues today, we will update you with information on our findings.
