The Texarkana Arkansas Police are investigating a stabbing incident from yesterday evening that sent one victim to the hospital and one man to jail.

    Media Release:

On Wednesday, April 6, 2022, around 7:14 pm, officers responded to the 4200 block of
Savannah Circle in Texarkana, Arkansas, for a stabbing.

When the officers arrived, they observed an individual lying on the ground bleeding and
being cared for by a bystander. Officers rendered aid and called for an ambulance. The
victim told the officers the suspect was Nicholas Griggs, and he was possibly still in the
area. While waiting for an ambulance to arrive for the victim, Officer Marcos Luna located
    and arrested the suspect.

LifeNet arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital.

Nicholas Griggs, 25 years old from Texarkana, Texas, was charged with Domestic Battery in
the 2nd Degree. He was transported to the Miller County Jail and booked.

    The investigation is ongoing.

If you have any information or were a witness to this crime, please contact Detective Shane
Kirkland at (903)-798-31543 or call Crime Stoppers at (903)-793-7867.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
