The Texarkana Arkansas Police continue to investigate a shooting incident that left 3 people with serious gunshot wounds. Police believe it was over a drug transaction and are asking the public for any information that may help solve the case.

    Press Release:

On Thursday, June 3, 2021, at approximately 9:00pm, Texarkana, Arkansas Police
responded to a call of a shooting in the 1600 block of Walter Street. Upon arrival, officers
located 2 individuals who were transported to a local hospital. A 3rd individual was later
    located at a local hospital.

Evidence gathered at the scene and through interviews of multiple persons involved, lead
police to believe that the shooting is the result of drug related activities and that this
event is not an act of random violence. Everyone involved in this incident are adults.
Due to immediate life saving measures taken by the responding officers and the medical
staff of Life Net and Wadley Hospital, the injuries to those involved no longer appear to
be life threatening. The investigation will continue, and multiple arrest warrants will be
    issued.

As with any other crime, anyone with information about this event is encouraged to call
    Crimestoppers (903) 794-STOP or TAPD, CID, at (903) 798-3154.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
