Get ready to kick off July in true Southern style! The Texarkana Catfish & Mudbug Music Festival is set to take over Front Street Festival Plaza in downtown Texarkana, Arkansas, on Saturday, July 5, with a full day of food, music, and family fun.
The festival, organized by Arklatex Foodie & Festivals, promises 12 straight hours of live entertainment, southern eats, and local vendors. The spotlight will be on classic regional favorites like fried catfish and seafood boils, and while organizers are hoping for a big crawfish turnout, the summer heat has made harvesting tricky, sending those mudbugs deeper into the mud. Still, the festival is determined to deliver a feast for attendees.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and admission is free for all ages.
Live music will fill the plaza all day, featuring performances by:
-
Stevie Ray & the Deacon
-
Left of Center
-
Trophy Husband
-
Black Strap
-
The Rod P Outfit
Plus, DJ Hollygrove will be on the 1s and 2s, keeping the party moving between sets.
Alongside the music and food, guests can enjoy a kids zone, local vendors, cold drinks, and other favorite festival treats.
“This is about food, culture, community, and Southern fun,” organizers posted. “We’re outside all day, and the vibes will be unmatched.”
Vendor spaces and sponsorship opportunities are still available. For details, contact 903-701-7040.
The event is powered by the City of Texarkana, Arkansas, with corporate support from Commercial National Bank (CNB) and Hugg & Hall.
