We love Chick-fil-A and think they have the best chicken in town. The Richmond Road store will be closing on September 6, 2018, to remodel the store and plan to have a re-grand opening in October.

    Media Release:

After being open just shy of 15 years, Texarkana’s stand-alone Chick-fil-A at 2601 Richmond Rd. will close its doors Sept. 6 to be remodeled with the chain’s newest restaurant design which will increase the capacity to serve even more guests in a remarkable way with an improved full-service dining and drive thru. The renovation will take approximately six weeks to complete will have a grand reopening tentatively projected for October.

When Chick-fil-A Franchise Owner Michael Dodson reopens the new restaurant, it will showcase the chain’s vintage heritage interior design, a dining room with inside seating as well as additional patio seating and the chain’s centerline kitchen design which will nearly double the capacity of the original. The interior features premium finishes including subway tile and large windows as well as a large gathering table made from reclaimed wood, and a custom light fixture made from recycled Coca-Cola bottles.

Customers on the go will find dual drive-thru ordering lanes merging into a single payment and pickup lane, enhancing the chain’s award-winning drive-thru service with large canopies covering both areas to provide a better weather- and temperature-controlled guest experience for outside face-to-face ordering

Dodson has been a Chick-fil-A Operator since 1980 and is a Symbol of Success and Champions Club recipient – the chain’s most prestigious honors given to Operators. Texarkana native Dodson, his wife, Christie, and their two sons are thrilled to continue to serve the community they know and love. Thousands of his Team Members have served hundreds of thousands of guests since 2003 when the Chick-fil-A at Texarkana opened.

“For the past 15 years, I have served side by side with some amazing Team Members,” said Dodson. “They are truly the reason we have been successful. We feel so honored to be the caretakers of such a gorgeous, special new place. We want our guests to walk in and immediately feel cared about.”

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
