We sure hope you are keeping cool as temps keep touching triple digits! This weekend in Texarkana you can get out and have a lot of fun. Our friends at Tony Langford Roofing and Whiskey River Country Club have the rundown list for the weekend of July 25 & 26 here!

It’s the Downward Facing Dog days of Summer at the Texarkana Texas Farmer’s Market this Saturday, and stock up with the Honey Lady at Gateway Farmer’s Market, love those straws she has.

    LIVE MUSIC THIS WEEKEND

    Friday, July 25:
David Howe & The Howelers at Whiskey River Country Club
Dillon Ennis at La Fogata Bar & Grill
Dusty Rose Band at Fat Jack’s
Jimi Watusi Reggae at 1923 Banana Club
    Hailey Wright at Redbone Magic
    Split Decision at Twisted Fork

    Saturday, July 26:
The Dusty Rose Band at Whiskey River Country
Steve Boyster at La Fogata Bar & Grill
Outlaw Republic Band at Fat Jack’s
Stevie Ray & The Deacon at 1923 Banana Club
The Rewind Band at Redbone Magic
The Merrows, Big Fat Giraffe, and Jasper & Spud at The Wild Hare
Anthony Price at Cheers of Texarkana

Here in a few weeks when the weather evens out, there are more and more activities being planned for outdoors too. In the meantime, do your best to stay cool, check on neighbors and the elderly. Don’t forget the four-legged friends. Sometimes, even the air conditioning just isn’t air conditioning enough, you know?

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
