    Texarkana Man Charged with Murder after Shooting at a Local Convenience Store

    The Texarkana Texas Police have arrested Tyvon Gullatt, 22, of Texarkana Texas and charged him with murder in the shooting death of Carlos Clark, 25, of Texarkana, Texas. Gullatt is currently in custody at the Bi-State Jail with a one million dollar bond.

    The Texarkana Texas Police Department is investigating the homicide of Carlos Clark, 25, of Texarkana, Texas, who was shot in the early morning hours February 10th at a gas station located at 5023 N. Stateline Avenue.

    At 1:10 AM, Officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting that just occurred at 5023 N. Stateline Ave. Officer located Clark in the back seat of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. Clark was able to tell officers the suspects first name before being transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officers reviewed video surveillance footage and were able to obtain a vehicle and suspect description. Detectives were called to the scene to begin the investigation into the shooting.

    Approximately 15 minutes later, Officers were contacted by the suspect’s grandfather and advised his grandson, Tyvon Gullatt, 22, of Texarkana Texas, was involved in the incident at 5023 N. Stateline. Officers made contact with Gullatt in the 3900 block of Main St. and escorted him to the Bi-state Justice Center to speak with Detectives.

    Later in morning, Detectives were notified Clark had died from his injuries. Based on the preliminary investigation, Detectives charged Tyvon Gullatt with murder. He is currently being held in the Bi-State Jail on a 1 million dollar bond.
