Texarkana Police Expect Arrest in Animal Cruelty Case Seen on Graphic Video

The Texarkana Texas Police Department is investigating a case of animal abuse in the city, after video of the incident began to spread like crazy on Facebook. The suspect has been identified and police will be making an arrest in this case.

TTPD said in a media release:

We have gotten several messages and phone calls about the dog that was being abused in a video that was posted to social media. Like many of you, we were upset by what we saw and take this kind of thing very seriously.

We have identified the man in the video and expect an arrest warrant to be issued very soon. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to locate the dog, but Animal Control Officers are going to go back out in the morning to see if they can find it.

Since that post by TTPD, Lady, the 6-month-old Pitbull seen in the extremely graphic video has been found safe. She has an injured left hind leg (but seems to be able to put a little weight on it), and it is reported that she is currently under the care of Wisdom Animal Clinic. Other than the hurt leg and being understandably skittish, she seems like she will be okay. More information will be coming after the arrest has been made, and the investigation into this case continues.

When you have information such as this, you can always contact Crime Stoppers and share your info. You can remain anonymous… call 903-793-STOP, 903-793-7867.

The man seen abusing Lady n the very graphic video that has garnered more than 150.000 views, was dogsitting the pup that belongs to a young girl that was attending school at the time. When asked about the injuries to the dog, it is reported that the man said the dog had gotten out and was hit by a car. However, you can see the man beating, strangling, and slamming the pup to the ground by the leash around her throat, and just as angering to viewers is the laughing commentary by the person recording, who has also been identified… warning, this video is graphic and cannot be unseen.
