The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department has identified as Willie James Ross, 80, of Texarkana Arkansas. It has been reported that Mr. Ross had been walking down the tracks when he was struck and died from his injuries.

The male struck by the train on 02/14/2022 around 2:47 pm has been identified as Willie
James Ross, 80 years of age, from Texarkana, Arkansas. Our detectives are still
investigating the incident.
It is reported that Mr. Ross had been walking on the train tracks Monday afternoon before 3:00 pm near Ferguson Street. It is believed he was walking with his back to the train. The investigation continues.
