The Texarkana Texas Police Department reports they are investigating two shootings that occurred just before midnight on Sunday. One victim was reported as a juvenile, and the other 18 years of age. Both victims were treated and released from local hospitals.

    Press Release:

We are investigating two shootings that occurred last night about 11:45 near the 1700 block of Bowie Street.  One victim is a fourteen year old boy who suffered a single gunshot wound to his thigh.  He told officers that he was walking down the street when he was shot by an unknown and unseen person.  The juvenile victim was transported to Wadley Hospital by LifeNet EMS.

The second victim is an eighteen year old man who suffered a single gunshot wound to his arm.  He arrived at Christus St. Michael by private vehicle approximately an hour after he was shot.  He also said that he was walking in the area and was shot by an unknown and unseen person.

The circumstances of exactly what happened are unclear, and it is unknown if the two victims were together when they were shot.

Both were treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.
