Texarkana Texas police are investigating a crash that claimed the life of an 87-year-old man Wednesday afternoon in the 1700 block of Summerhill Road.
According to authorities, the driver appeared to have suffered a medical emergency while traveling on Summerhill. His vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a home. The homeowner was inside at the time, but was not injured.
Emergency crews responded quickly, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released pending notification of family.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
