The City of Texarkana, Texas is celebrating a century of civic pride as its historic City Hall turns 100 years old. The public is invited to join the celebration on Monday, November 10, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at City Hall, located at 220 Texas Boulevard.
Built in 1925, the Texarkana, Texas City Hall has served as a cornerstone of local government and community life for generations. To commemorate this milestone, the evening will feature light refreshments, a historical look back at the building’s past, and special recognition of past city leaders who helped shape Texarkana’s story.
Over the past year, a dedicated committee has overseen a series of renovations and preservation efforts to honor the building’s centennial. These updates include a professional deep cleaning of the original flooring, a complete exterior softwash, newly installed windows, and upgrades to the HVAC system — all designed to preserve the building’s charm while ensuring it remains functional for decades to come.
City officials say the celebration is not just about a building, but about the people and community it represents.
