Excitement is mounting as Texarkana prepares to host its first annual Twin City Rodeo at the Four States Fair Entertainment Center this Saturday, July 27, 2024. Organized by the Justa Cowboy Association, the event promises an evening packed with thrilling rodeo action and family-friendly entertainment.

Doors will swing open at 6:00 pm, with the adrenaline-pumping show kicking off promptly at 7:30 pm. Spectators can look forward to a lineup of classic rodeo events, including Bronc Riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping, and the daring bull riding competition.

For those eager to join in on the excitement firsthand, walk-up entries are welcome on the day of the event for a fee of $10 per person. However, participants must present a current Coggins test for their horses to comply with safety regulations.

Tickets for the Twin City Rodeo are available for purchase at the Four States Fairgrounds Box Office, open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Local trailrider clubs are encouraged to participate and are invited to be part of the grand entry, showcasing Texarkana’s vibrant equestrian community.

“This rodeo is a celebration of our Western heritage and the skilled athletes who compete in these challenging events,” said organizers from the Justa Cowboy Association. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for families and friends to come together, cheer on the competitors, and enjoy an evening of entertainment under the stars.”

For more information or to register for the event, interested parties can contact the organizers at 903-276-8640. Don’t miss out on the thrills and spills of the inaugural Twin City Rodeo – saddle up and be part of this Texarkana tradition!

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
